Terri's big prize is seeing kids' maturity
30 November 2012
Sunshine Coast Daily
THE Sunshine Coast’s most famous family Robert, Bindi and Terri Irwin - have all been nominated for Logie Awards.
The exciting news follows a huge year for Australia’s favourite wildlife warriors, who have been busy filming the new television show in and around Australia Zoo, among other major projects.
Tern has had a busy year with major milestones achieved during Australia Zoo’s annual crocodile research trip reaching a target of more than 100 crocodiles tracked and tagged, and the zoo also being the major tourist attraction at the Queensland Tourism Awards this past weekend.
While most people would have been content with making the Australia Zoo empire a memorial to the beloved and sorely missed Steve Irwin, Terri has continued to expand and promote this world-famous brand.
Terri has also handled her children’s growing media careers with wisdom, sensitivity and style.
Bindi and Robert are growing nicely in the limelight but haven’t been overexposed or lumbered with any tacky TV vehicles unlike many child stars.
And, perhaps most importantly, Terri continues to promote the importance of caring for our wildlife and protecting our invaluable and fragile natural environment.
