Steve Irwin Award 2008
Toby Millyard
Toby is a super keen herpetologist and started working in the Australia Zoo Crocodile department in 1997. His passion for crocodiles and all things scaly saw him not only running the Croc Team but becoming heavily involved in all manner of croc and venomous snake rescues both in Australia and internationally. Toby is great at handling venomous snakes and difficult situations, which makes Toby, along with his ability to climb just about anything, an integral part of the Rescue Team.

Cameron Chapman
Cameron is a sculpture making machine and he loves doing it! You can see his artwork throughout the zoo, from the 24-foot crocodile replica to the four metre high Thai Dog sculptures in front of the Tiger Temple enclosure, there's all sorts of amazing creations to see. Cameron doesn't just make this artwork for a living, it's his life. What a ripper bloke!

Staff Person of the Year 2008
Karen Bennett
Karen started at Australia Zoo in December 2004 as part of the Admissions Department. Since then she's made her way up to be the head of the Group Bookings and Tour Desk departments. As part of her job, Karen meets people from all over the world every day, and makes it her first priority to ensure they enjoy their visit to the max. Using her excellent customer service skills and bright personality Karen is the perfect person for the job!
