Graphic Design
Daniel
Graphic Designer
Daniel joined the Zoo Crew in June 2010 as a Graphic Designer, after eight years working in design houses and advertising agencies on the Gold Coast and in Brisbane.
When he's not creating fantastic posters, banners, advertisements and a range of other eye catching promotional materials for the Zoo, Daniel enjoys spending time with his wife and children.
Daniel's favourite animal at the Zoo is the cassowary, having grown up in the Papua New Guinea highlands, he just loves bright, colourful and fascinating tropical birds.
"It's a rare opportunity to work in an atmosphere that not only helps in the fight to preserve the environment, but also educates people to do the same."
Emma
Senior Designer (Interpretive Design)
Emma joined the crew in 2010 bringing with her over 13 years of graphic design experience. Emma has worked for a number of large organisations designing everything from signage, displays and printed documents, to the side of a truck.
Emma grew up in crocodile country in the Gulf of Carpentaria where she spent a lot of time hanging out fishing at boat ramps. Today her passion is for design and all things animal. In her spare time she can be found hanging out at the beach, drawing, camping, fishing and dreaming of that next trip to Africa.
"The best thing about my job here at the Zoo is being a part of such a passionate organisation and being able to design interpretive signage to educate and excite people about all the wonderful animals that we have here, they are an endless source of inspiration."
