Cleaners at Australia Zoo are well respected for the great job that they do because thanks to them, our Zoo is spotless and is possibly the cleanest zoo in the whole world. These guys are some of the most important team players at Australia Zoo and we'd be lost without them.

Cleaning Supervisor
Desley joined the Zoo Crew in May of 2009 and thoroughly enjoys being surrounded by amazing animals every single day.
When at home, Desley loves watching the V8 Supercars and hopes to get to Bathurst one day to see the big one!
"Koala's are my favourite animal at the Zoo, they are so cute and cuddly. I love working at the Zoo and having such a great crew to work with."

Sandra joined the Zoo Crew in December 2009 and just loves working with her mates, outside all day.
Sandra tells us that her favourite animal at the Zoo are our gorgeous wombats, as they just look so cuddly.
"For Christmas I gave one of my Granddaughters a Ripper Rhino encounter. We had a great time with DJ the rhino. I would recommend it to anyone".

Alan really enjoys working outdoors, working with mates and seeing people enjoying themselves.
"My favourite animal at the Zoo would have to be the cheetahs because of their speed and beauty."
One of Alan's most memorable experiences while working at the Zoo, was going on a Cheeky Cheetah encounter and being able to be right up close to such an amazing animal.

John started working at Australia Zoo back in 2003 in Security and moved to Cleaners in November 2006.
John loves working at the Zoo, being around animals all day long. When he gets home he is greeted by his mischievous dog and cat who cause hours of entertainment pushing each other to their limits.
"My favourite animal at the Zoo would have to be the elephants because they are so smart and beautiful."
Wayne at Australia Zoo

Wayne started working at Australia Zoo in November of 2007 and loves every animal here, he just can't pick a favourite.
When asked what he loves about the Zoo, Wayne will tell you it's the crew he works with and the mates he has made while working here.
Outside of work Wayne loves fishing and having BBQs with his family and friends. You may also find him working on cars and building things out of wood and metal.

Daniel has been at part of our legendary cleaning crew since November 2011.
Kylie makes a new friend in our Wildlife Photo Studio.

Kylie joined our legendary cleaning crew in December 2012...just in time for the busy school holiday period.
Kylie has a background in car detailing and moved back to the sunshine coast to start her own cleaning business.
When a position opened up here at the zoo Kylie jumped at the chance so she can see her favourite animal, the majestic Giraffe on every shift.
