Meet our Accounts Department! Our team manages all the financial functions of the Zoo Operations. This includes- mountains of incoming and outgoing mail, copious amounts of invoicing and payments, huge volumes of debtor accounts, supervising the cleaning and servicing of the constantly expanding Zoo Vehicle Fleet, and most importantly, processing the Australia Zoo team's superannuation and payroll… and so much more.

Jenny
Chief Financial Officer
Jenny joined the Australia Zoo Accounts team in January 2011 following 15 years in the finance industry. Jenny has previously worked at 2 of the 4 largest professional services firms in the world where she specialised in accounting, taxation and business improvement across a range of industries.
Jenny's favourite animals are our Tassie Devils. Jenny grew up in Tasmania so these gorgeous little guys are especially close to her heart as they are timid and fragile in nature, yet very cheeky at the same time.

Finance Manager
Peter joined Australia Zoo in April 2006. He started this role after 25 years in the finance industry, finishing as the Relationship Manager at ANZ Beerwah.
He is looking forward to sharing his knowledge and experience while ensuring that Australia Zoo continues to grow and customers enjoy their experience.
Peter's hobbies include spending time with his precious family (which includes two loving daughters), playing golf, reading and assisting the local state school when he can.

Office Manager
Hannah joined the zoo crew back in 2002 as a casual customer service attendant before transferring to our Accounts team a year later.
Hannah loves cats and has always had one as a pet at home. So it is no surprise that her favourite animals at Australia Zoo are our Big Cats, the Tigers and Cheetahs. Hannah loves working at the zoo so she can visit these magnificent animals everyday.
Kristyn

Financial Accountant
Kristyn joined our busy accounts crew in November 2011 after relocating to the Sunshine Coast from Melbourne.
Kristyn jumped at the chance to join our team so she could be involved in making a difference through the zoo's conservation efforts. Kristyn's favourite animals are our small clawed otters as they are so entertaining and full of mischief.
When not hard at work in the zoo, Kristyn loves the outdoors and often goes camping on weekends.

Office Administrator
Bill joined the Zoo accounts team in 2004 coming from a banking background, and since then, has seen the Zoo expand immensely.
When not collating figures at his desk during the day, Bill enjoys visiting the bird aviary and small clawed asian otters where you can enjoy close interaction with the animals.
When the weekend arrives he enjoys keeping an eye on all the weekend sporting events especially the Rugby League and MotoGP.

Payroll Officer
Claire joined our Accounts Team in August 2012 as our Payroll Officer. Payroll is Claire's passion having worked in this job role since leaving school at various organisations including a strawberry farm and a reptile park.
Claire says that working at Australia Zoo is 'not your everyday office job' and loves getting to see our animals up close. She loves Koalas and says that they are 'cute and cuddly'.
When not at work Claire loves to spend time with her 3 children in the outdoors. Favourite activities include mountain biking, camping and 4WDing.

Kristy
Accounts Payable/Receivable Officer
Kristy joined the zoo crew in October 2012 and believes she has found her dream job. Kristy loves animals and feels priviledged to work with like minded colleagues everyday towards a common goal.
Kristy favourite animal here at the zoo is the Sumatran Tiger. Kristy loves all cats but these big cats are critically endangered and need all the help they can get to maintain their survival in the wild.
When not at the zoo Kristy can be found reading crime novels, cooking (and eating) as well as going to the movies.

With thousands of visitors from all over the world passing through the gates daily, all team members understand the importance of making a lasting impression to our patrons. A job at Australia Zoo is more than a vocation, it's a lifestyle - just ask any of our team members. Australia Zoo employees love animals and conservation, have an exceptional self-drive attitude towards work and of course, wear the world famous khaki uniforms with pride! You just have to walk around the Zoo to feel the electricity in the air. The atmosphere creates an exciting experience for all visitors and a dream workplace environment for all employees.
