We have seen legendary ex North QLD Cowboy Nick Paterson, current player of the Wide Bay Crocs, wrestle players on the Rugby Field… but could he wrestle a crocodile in Australia Zoo’s Animal Planet Crocoseum?
By jingo, Australia Zoo didn’t find out, however, Nick himself was found in Australia Zoo getting close and cuddly with one of our baby alligators. This marked Australia Zoo’s sponsorship of the Wide Bay Crocs Police Rugby League team for the fifth year running.
This ripper of a team were the proud winners of the QLD State Championships with a victory over Logan City 16–10 which was held in Townsville this year from 20th to 25th March. The team represents the North Coast Police Region including Bundaberg, Maryborough, Gympie, Sunshine Coast and Redcliff Police Districts. Australia Zoo is proud to be associated with the mighty Wide Bay Crocs who we have been sponsoring since 2002. We congratulate them on their fantastic win and hope they could hear us cheering from the Zoo CROCS RULE!
