Australia Zoo on the Beach's Grand Opening

Surf was up for Australia Zoo last Saturday, 14th April.
Residents and tourists surfed, swam and skated into Australia Zoo's newest retail store situated right on Mooloolaba's Esplanade, for the official launch of 'Australia Zoo on the Beach'.
The day was a great success with hundreds of people visiting on the day taking part in the fantastic activities on offer such as croc jumping, face painting and a very exciting sand sculpturing competition based on the gigantic sand sculptured crocodile that dominated the beach from the early hours of Saturday morning!
An expansion of Australia Zoo retail, 'Australia Zoo on the Beach' combines both a retail shop and Australia Zoo's Travel agency. It provides the convenience of shopping for Sunshine Coast residents and tourists wanting to purchase Australia Zoo merchandise outside of the Zoo. It is hoped the store will whet customer's appetites of what they can find behind the Zoo's gates. Admission tickets, tours and animal encounters can all be pre-purchased at the shop.
