Australia Zoo's very successful online video competition winners, the Conley family were treated like rock stars during Bindi's birthday celebrations.
The family of four experienced all the zoo has to offer with heaps of awesome activities on the 24th July when they visited Australia Zoo for the first time! They had a stack of fun and were treated like VIP’s and had many up close and personal encounters with our gorgeous animals.
Winning entrant, Kaitlyn, 9, with Mum - Kelly, Dad Jarred and little brother, Sean, 2, were flown all the way from Washington DC for Bindi’s rocking 9th birthday party! It was also their first time ever on a plane! Wooo-hoo!
While at the zoo they patted a wombat, posed with a koala, stroked a baby alligator and tucked into yummy cup cakes. The family loved our beautiful Australian wildlife, especially the cute and cuddly koalas. Crikey! Who could blame them!
Kellie's two minute video caught the attention of judges, Terri and Bindi who loved Kellie's dog, which was dressed in a scary croc costume.
But it was the real crocs here at Australia Zoo that caught the Conley family's attention. With Terri and Wes leading the croc demonstration, the awesome foursome Conley's were on the edge of their seats while watching our 500 kilogram salty, Graham, perform death roll after death roll! What a little ripper!
The family was also treated to three night's accommodation at Coolum, but the Conley family has extended their stay in Australia for another whole month!
