Australia Zoo partnered with Network Ten News in a bid to name one of our tallest animals here at the zoo. The gorgeous female giraffe, who will soon be found in her new home of "Africa" here at Australia Zoo, has been named! Network Ten News held a competition on their Facebook page for viewers to tell us what they thought our newest giraffe should be named.
There were hundreds of suggestions which were narrowed down to three finalists and the winning giraffe name is... Sally! Congratulations to Jessica S'ke and thank you for your wonderful suggestion.
Our four giraffe, Rosie, Penny, Forrest and Sally look forward to seeing all our visitors at their new home - Africa at Australia Zoo. It's as wild as life gets!
