The crew from Australia Zoo are proud to announce the premiere of Steve Irwin's Wildlife Warriors a new series on Australia's Network Ten (Saturday, 7.30pm). This prime time wildlife show will follow Terri, Bindi and Robert Irwin and our team of dedicated wildlife warriors as they continue Steve's fight for wildlife.
Be it a tiger tooth extraction, a koala who has been hit by a car, or tracking a crocodile in the wild, the family-orientated series will focus on the wildlife hospital and Rescue Unit of Australia Zoo. Episodes are filled with a myriad of weird, wonderful and downright bizarre things that occur in the day-to-day life of the Zoo. In addition to filming in and around the Zoo, viewers will also journey with the Irwins as they travel through the Australian Outback to visit wildlife sanctuaries in Weipa, Cape York, Far North Queensland and Tasmania.
The new series is also a first for young Robert Irwin, who is becoming more and more like his famous Dad. "This is an exciting new show giving Robert his first fair dinkum go on television. With exciting archive footage of Steve in every episode, you'll see how much Robert is a chip off the old block," said Terri Irwin.
Sooooooooo jealous that I can't view the series over here in the UK. It would be lovely to catch up with all the AZ news and get to see some of the crew from way back. I love every single second of footage ever filmed of Steve so very hard to pick out some favourite bits (they are all my favs and I mean that). There is one episode that sticks out and that is when he helps relocate the Crocs at Australia Zoo into their new enclosures of the recently built Crocoseum. He made it look sooooooooo easy when, of course, we know it wasn't. He had a bad knee too. Moving the Crocs was pure poetry in motion; I was lost for words watching this episode. It will be lovely to see the children too; I miss seeing them on the TV. Hurry up and bring the series to the UK!! It would also be lovely to see Bob Snr on the Series, perhaps guiding us around the wonderful Crocoseum; telling its story from inception to completion to its use today.Enjoy yourselves and I look forward to seeing it in the future. LOL xx

STEVE IRWIN'S WILDLIFE WARRIORS - doesn't that sound great? I am very excited for you all re the programme; just sorry I won't be able to view it over here in the UK. The photo of you all with crossed arms is awesome. You've done Steve proud and wouldn't he be so overjoyed and proud that Steve's Army is still growing and marching forward stronger than ever. We all have different things to offer, different strengths and resources, but together we make up Steve's Army and we contribute in different ways to saving/helping the Earth's incredible wildlife. Love yer xx
