20 January 2014
What better place to spend Australia Day than at Australia Zoo! This Sunday January 26, we will host a jam-packed day of celebrations including a LIVE croc feeding by Robert with Terri and Bindi, and more Aussie activities and prizes than you can poke a stick at!
Joined by the Queensland Police Service ‘Band of Blue', visitors can enjoy all their favourite Aussie hits prior to the slithering, swooping and jaw-dropping action of the world-famous Crocoseum show. There will be free Pavlova decorating (and eating!) plus damper and billy tea to sweeten the day.
Visitors are encouraged to learn all about our alligators, macaws, koalas and snakes in our interactive roving keeper talks. Or if our Sumatran tiger cubs are more your thing, book a special encounter for the day - We have these and plenty of other native and not so true-blue animals to choose from.
There will be competitions galore with our major prizes including an encounter with our cheetah or our rhinos, as well as a chance for one lucky kid to play Zoo Keeper for a Day! Or try your luck at our "big things" treasure hunt, colouring-in and thong-throwing competitions for more awesome prizes.
Tickets for Australia Day at Australia Zoo can be bought online, or purchased at the gate, and now you can experience all that Australia Zoo has to offer for 364 days with our new Annual Passes ($99 for Adults, $59 for kids)!
So grab your khaki and your sense of adventure, and come on down to Australia Zoo for the most Australian day of the year.
