In a sea of proud Aussies, singing loud and waving flags, John Williamson delivered a true blue Aussie performance in the Crocoseum on Australia Day, January 26.
The Aussie legend and his special Warren H Williams wowed the Crocoseum crowd with his signature songs, ‘True Blue', ‘Home Among the Gum Trees', 'Wildlife Warriors - It's time'.
Guests to the Zoo were also treated to scrumptious billy-tea, traditional damper, awesome lorikeet races and performances by local Indigenous dance group, The Gubbi Gubbi. A classic reminder, of what it means to be a true-blue Aussie.
As the Australia Day celebrations came to an end, so did the 2008/2009 Summer Down Under concert series.
In its second year, Summer Down under proved a huge success. The concert featured several world class performers including John Edward, Brian McFadden, Guy Sebastian, John Williamson, and of course our very own, Bindi and the Crocmen. And each performer lived up to their names, delivering high-class entertainment to thousands of fans each week through-out the Christmas holidays in the Crocoseum.
Australia Zoo's busy marketing department are already hard at work preparing for the next huge Summer Down Under! Wooo-hoo!
