An already-packed Crocoseum has been inundated with a sea of green this week, with thousands of Scouts visiting Australia Zoo as part of the 23rd Australian Scout Jamboree (AJ2013).
About 8000 enthusiastic Scouts aged 10 to 15 are visiting the Zoo over 8 days as part of their ‘Love it!' excursion from the Jamboree site based in Maryborough.
The Scouts and their Leaders have the awesome opportunity to check out the Zoo's wildlife, including our majestic elephants, tigers and new Africa exhibit, as well as dance along to Bindi and the Jungle Girls performing every day before Terri, Bindi and Robert feed the crocs!
Cameron the Crocodile has even got into the Scouting spirit, sporting his very own Scout scarf.
The Australian Scout Jamboree is held every three years by Scouts Australia and includes a mixture of onsite and offsite activities that seek to challenge the participants, reinforce Scouting values, and provide valuable, new and fun experiences. We hope all of our Scouts enjoyed their visit to Australia Zoo!
