Australia Zoo is on the lookout for a name for one of our gorgeous giraffes, and we need your help!
The beautiful female giraffe arrived at Australia Zoo in November 2009, and has settled in to her new home wonderfully. She is now two years old and already weighs over 520kg.
Arriving at the Zoo as a shy and quiet giraffe, our girl has become a confident socialite. She loves interacting with people and has taken a particular liking to our handsome male giraffe, Forest. The two are inseparable! We have high hopes that love will blossom, and the pitter-patter of tiny hooves will be heard in the future. But first- we need a name for this tall beauty.
In a Queensland first, we recently launched our Giant Giraffe Encounters, giving guests the chance to meet our three magnificent giraffes. The person who submits the perfect name for our young girl will win the opportunity to meet her, and her two giraffe friends, Forrest and Penny. Plus, all entrants will go in the draw to win one of five family passes to visit the Zoo and meet our tallest residents!
With only a week to think of the perfect name - it's time to get crackin'! Check out our Amazing Animal profiles for inspiration - we have stacks of animals here, including Graham, Monty and Meg!
The winning name will be selected by Terri, Bindi and Robert Irwin and announced on May 15. Entries close May 8.

Rosie's a cute name, and how excited would Bindi's best friend be, sharing her name with a giraffe! Congrats to Mackenzie Henricks for picking her name! Fingers crossed I still ave a chancce to win the giraffe encounter!

hi i think this is so cool.
i am faye seckel and i am 11 years old. my dream is to work at australia zoo when im older.at the moment i live in england but on the 8th september i am coming to live in australia!i have some relatives in australia and i have been many times before.i have also been to steve irwins zoo, so i am really exited to come and see steve iwrins zoo soon!

Never mind winning this. I want to give to this to a sick child and families. Who are very sick so they have fun in the zoo. I like to give to Make a Wish for children that very sick because I want to do for them. Just knopw a sick is enjoy this it make happy that help someone who needs this more then we. So if I win this given to Make a wish so someone else do this. Then me. Thank you ALM

I want you to named Miss Molly because this will be a name that be cool and joined the other names like Penny & Forrest. I hope your pick my name I never did this before and would to vist then and other wildlife at the zoo in Australia.

I think you should should name it Gina I have always thought that was a good name but never had an animal to name that considering im only 12.
