Well, he is certainly green, but he's not a frog... he's one of Australia Zoo's gorgeous Fijian Crested Iguana.
Kermit is an absolutely amazing looking animal. We are very fortunate to have Fijian Crested Iguanas here at Australia Zoo, especially given they are amongst the most critically endangered lizards on the planet.
His keepers say Kermit is just great, he loves heading out of his enclosure and being in the spotlight when it's his turn in our daily photo sessions.
He is so photogenic that he has just become the newest addition to our Adopt an Animal initiative, just in time for us to celebrate the greenest day of the year, St Patrick's Day!
