Our staff at Australia Zoo are passionate and have a positive, 'can-do' attitude. They embody our company's global goal of Conservation through Exciting Education. The Human Resources Department serves to develop the Australia Zoo team and provide them with the environment and tools to advance into our new era. We strive for fairness and consistency, while giving individuals the opportunity to be challenged and to reach their maximum potential.

Department Objectives:
To achieve our vision, Human Resources will:

• Provide equal employment opportunities - ensuring policies, procedures and practices are free from any bias or unlawful discrimination.
• Ensure all staff has the opportunity to access training and career development programs to enhance their skills and capabilities.
• Commit to providing a professional, safe and healthy working environment for all staff.
• Advise and consult on performance planning, organisational and cultural change.
• Provide advice and expertise in the field of Human Resources and employee relations.
• Assist with applying the best practice principles to achieve organisational goals and individual departments' procedural objectives.
