John Wallace Swim School

John Wallace Swim School Logo

In Australia we are blessed with beautiful beaches as well as the ideal climate to enjoy them. Not everyone is fortunate enough to have the knowledge and skills to enjoy them safely; last year alone drowning accounted for 277 deaths in Australia, and with 14% of these deaths, victims were aged between zero and five years old. The good news is that this statistic has seen a 26% decrease in the last 12 months; a lot of this has to do with swim schools like the John Wallace Swim School teaching water safety as a key part of their programs.

The John Wallace Swim School has been running lessons on the coast for over 20 years and sees in excess of 800 swimmers through its doors each week. Classes cater for almost everyone, ranging from babies as young as six months old through to teenagers in junior squads and the extremely popular adults learn to swim and stroke development program. The swim school has a team of 20 instructors and admin personnel, all of whom have varied teaching/coaching or management experience within the aquatic industry. They pride themselves on teaching excellence and are registered with both Swim Australia and AUSTSWIM. Classes are run year round both in the heated indoor pool at 34'C and in the heated 25m pool at 30'C.
