Turtle Tracking
2009 marked the launch of Australia Zoo's Turtle Research Project. For the first time in Australia, we attached a satellite tracker to a rehabilitated turtle, to unlock the mystery of their journey back to the wild.
Crocodile Tracking
In August 2007, Australia Zoo joined forces with The University of Queensland and Queensland Parks and Wildlife to track the movements and behaviour of estuarine crocodiles. Using specially designed tracking devices, we are able to gain valuable, information about adult estuarine crocodiles.
