Big Dunc, as his name suggests, is one of the largest saltwater crocodiles in our research program. Since he was first caught in 2010, Big Dunc has been recaptured and released eight times! Crikey!
This research is made possible each year with the help of Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors, The University of Queensland and our generous sponsors. This vital program is the longest continuous study of crocodiles in the world and helps us to live alongside them and help them, as a vulnerable Australian species.
We invite you to be part of our annual crocodile research trip by joining us, donating or sponsoring your very own gorgeous crocodile!
