Age: Juvenile Sex: Unknown Weight: 111g
Found: On the ground at a residential property in Mt Mee, very weak.
Transported to: The Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital by a local wildlife rehabilitator.
Veterinary Assessment: Dr Amber examined little Fuzzball and found some minor scratches to the top of the head, but luckily no other injuries.
Treatment: Dr Amber cleaned Fuzzball's wounds and administered pain relief. She also prescribed a good feed!
Future: Fuzzball has a lot of growing up to do, and has been sent to a local wildlife carer after until independent and old enough to be released back to the wild.
AZWH Fact: Adult male bowerbirds build their mate a special nest called a ‘bower' and decorate it with lots of bright blue items. This is how they get their name!
