Schools out and the real fun is just beginning at Australia Zoo!
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to work as a Zoo Keeper? Well, wonder no more because the school holidays are back, and so is Australia Zoo's holiday program, Zoo Keeper for a Day!
If you are aged between seven and twelve you can join the zoo crew to help feed the animals and clean enclosures, with exclusive behind the scenes access and plenty of hands on action with some of our gorgeous animals. It's a day you won't forget! Places are limited so bookings are essential.

- Hand Feeding our Asian Elephants
- Creating enrichment toys for the Tigers
- Feeding our Asian Small-clawed Otters
- Scrubbing the shells of our Giant Tortoises
- Cleaning Kids Zoo enclosures

For us, the hottest time of the year means one thing - MAJOR reptile action! Snakes, lizards, tortoises, turtles...it's time for our scaly, slithery friends to come out of hibernation and go nuts. The heat is on Down Under, and the most exciting effect of this sizzling season is definitely the one it has on Australia's amazing apex predators, the CROCODILES!

You can find out at Easter time during Australia Zoo's fun, educational and exciting Zoo Keeper for a Day program! Our future zoo keepers will spend a day under the guidance of our animal experts learning STACKS of fascinating things about our awesome wildlife, but best of all they'll enjoy plenty of behind-the-scenes action and hands-on animal encounters!

Brave the winter chill with the wild and woolly creatures at Australia Zoo! Our super cuddly mammals are in their element when the cold sets in, and they make the best friends on chilly days. Join us to learn all about caring for kangaroos, otters, possums, elephants and much more!

When spring arrives at Australia Zoo, the animals go into a feeding frenzy! Whether you're providing delicious insect paste for the spiky little echidnas and their loooooong tongues, catering a buffet breakfast for the colourful birds in the Rainforest Aviary or giving fresh fruit and vegetables to our three gorgeous Asian Elephants, our zoo keepers-in-training will never forget this unique and unbeatable experience!
