Sunshine Coast Harley has generously donated an awesome Harley Davidson Sportster 883 to Australia Zoo to raise funds for Wildlife Warriors Worldwide. As a tribute to the original Wildlife Warrior Steve Irwin, the bike features customised air-brushing by Mallet Custom Art who spent over 160 hours perfecting the design. The motorcycle will be auctioned online with ALL proceeds going towards a new state of the art Australian Wildlife Hospital.
There is never a dull moment on the Australia Zoo website and this month has been no exception with the launch of our new online shop! Woo-Hooo! The shop has undergone an extreme transformation, and, thats right...its bigger and better than ever! As well as an exciting new design, the shop has a whole stack of fantastic new features which allow you to: buy a gift certificate, send a gift to a friend, view best seller items, log-in and navigate easier, create your own wish list and accumulate Conservation Points. Australia Zoos first ever Summer Down Under series went off like a frog in a sock! Each Saturday from December 22 through to Australia Day (January 26), Australia Zoo hosted a stack of LIVE performances in the Animal Planet Crocoseum. The concert series saw spectacular performances from various high calibre celebrities including: Singing sensation- Dean Guyer, Aussie comedians- Tripod and Steady Eddy, American medium- John Edwards, Australia's favourite Jungle Girl- Bindi Irwin and the Crocmen and talented twins- The Veronicas. Australia day signalled the final Summer Down Under concert with a true blue performance by John Williamson. With flags held high the Aussie legend led the Crocoseum crowd in a tribute to a great country.
