Dingo (Tails) Tales - Part 1

3 June 2005

G'day everyone, there is music in the air and our very talented dingo girls are keen to join in. As we know dingoes don't have a distinct bark like our domestic dogs do when they say hello to the postman.

However they do sing a beautiful song by lifting their nose to the sky and howling. Here at Australia Zoo the keepers enjoy their songs but also have a giggle because most of the time we hear them sing it's to accompany a fire engine's siren going past the Zoo.

Teyha and Kiah decided they wanted to expand their musical career and what better Aussie way to do this but to give an authentic aboriginal didgeridoo a go. The only problem was they had the wrong shaped mouth, but they had lots of fun trying. Maybe next time we'll try a dance routine.

Until next adventure make sure you have a howling good time.
