New deck means more fun
16 February 2007
We are always trying to find new ways to enrich our tigers lives, most of our day is spent either walking the cats or playing with them or even training them. Another really good way to keep the tigers stimulated is to change their environment which could be as simple as building a cubbyhouse out of branches and leaves or bringing a new object into their enclosure to climb around on or play in. Our facility is constantly changing and evolving, apart from the fact that all of our trees and plants are growing and making the place look fantastic we try to change or add new structures to our exhibits on a regular basis. We have just completed two awesome new decks for our cats to relax on in our main display, both of which have plenty of shade during the day. We will also be able to demonstrate some of the power and skill of the cats by getting them to jump from one deck to another by using small pieces of meat to encourage them. We are very proud of our facility and display and we know the cats love it as well.
