Hitchin' A Ride

You just never know what you may see while at Australia Zoo – you may even see a couple of our dingoes hitching a ride on Steve's Safari Shuttle. After walking around the Zoo and down to the Wetlands, doing some training and hanging around talking to people, our girls love to jump aboard the shuttle and take the easy way home – beats walking! Not only is riding the shuttle fun for the girls, it also provides great enrichment and, most importantly, keeps them used to the travelling motion and ready for anything that might pop up unexpectedly. As pups, our girls went for daily car rides to the yard where they used to play, and you just never know when they may have to hop in a car and take a trip – riding the shuttle gives them some variety and keeps them used to this form of travelling. So make sure you keep your eyes open as you walk around the Zoo – you never know what you might see!
