Diving Dingoes

What is a favourite summer past-time for most people? Going to the beach and swimming of course! Well it is not only the people who enjoy swimming during this hot weather; our dingoes can also be seen playing in their huge pond, cooling off.

Our three younger dingoes in particular love diving into the deep water, wrestling, racing around the enclosure, and then doing it all again! When we are working in the enclosure, the girls also enjoy coming up to us and shaking their wet coats all over us, just like your dog at home - not that we complain during this hot weather!

It's so tempting to jump in the pond and go swimming with the girls, but unfortunately some of us have to work! So instead we settle for enjoying watching the girls swim and have an absolute ball! As a keeper, it is one of our biggest joys, watching our animals enjoy themselves.
