Harriet, The Giant Galapagos Tortoise

G'day all! Most reptiles only have the luxury in life of reaching a couple of decades, but there is always an exception to the rule!This exception is the one and only Harriet, the Giant Galapagos Tortoise. She is the oldest captive land animal on the planet at present. It is a privilege and honour to meet this beautiful animal. But unlike other reptiles, Harriet's captive environment has been enriched by meeting thousands of people. Through the decades many photos have been taken of our Harriet. This photo attached was taken 45 to 50 years ago, but Harriet's still glowing and she doesn't look any older, unlike the excited people in the photo!
