Bird Show Training

All has been traveling along quite well this week. Djagarna the Black necked Stork is continuing to improve her flying performance in the afternoon show and in this weeks photo you can see her high in the sky as she flies over the top of the food court on her way to the crocoseum. Jussari, the newest of the Green winged Macaws has also returned to the show doing a new routine that she has learnt. It was only a slight adjustment to her old routine and she had picked it up in only 7 days. Jussari is a very intelligent, focused bird and is always looking to please as she flies her way around and across the crocoseum crowds. Now that Jussari has returned to the show it is time for Reaka the Blue and Gold Macaw to have a short break whilst she learns the same routine as Jussari. Hopefully she picks it up just as quick as what Jussari did. Another one of our new little critter, Slim the Blue winged Kookaburra has also taken a vital first step in his training progress with his first ever short jump to the hand from his perch. This was quite un-expected as he is still growing up and we haven’t really started any formal training with him yet. I guess he is telling us that it is time to start.
