Crocodiles brought to you with style

The Australia Zoo Crocodile Department is a very proud team and the boys put 110% into there crocodile demonstrations, just to get the word of crocodile conservation out there into the world. However there is one bloke in the team that reaches just that little bit further than the others. Damien 'Hot Dogs' Morris, or Damo as he is known around the Zoo, takes pride in the way he delivers his crocodile demonstrations. With a mixture of crocodile facts and information plus some naturally witty humour, Damo has really become the brightest star of an already shining crocodile team. Not only does Damo use his professionalism to deliver his awesome croc shows, but he also takes great pride in his personal presentation. A former member of 'Manpower Australia' and a dead ringer for Tom Cruise, Damo is definitely a favourite here at the Zoo.

When asked his feelings on the whole situation he simply replies, "It’s just what I do." Despite all the hype, Damo asks that people look past the man that is Damien and understand he is here at the Zoo for bigger reasons. He is passionate about making the world understand Australia’s Saltwater Crocodiles. Understanding that crocodiles have been on our planet for 250 million years and learning how to be crocodile safe is something Damo strives to get across to his audience. He believes that once people understand crocodiles they will no longer fear them or feel the need to shoot or harm them.

All in all, when it comes to aiding crocodile conservation, when we are not talking about Steve Irwin himself we sum it up in two words: 'Damien Morris'.
