Inca The Green-Winged Macaw

5 November 2004

Inca, who is one of our Green-Winged Macaws, is currently in flight training and he is going extremely well at it too "he is a bird of course"!

Inca just loves coming out and about throughout the Zoo flying high and low in our 5,000 seat stadium, the Crocoseum. Inca also loves to fly and hide in big bushy areas, however I don't think he realizes just how big, bright and colored he really is.

Inca has done well, and I am so proud of him. When you work closely with animals you do form a close bond and you make special friendships with them too. Inca and I have been working together for about two years now along side a number of other people; he has a very cuddly and kind nature, which draws people to him.

So when Inca gets his flying license, he will join his macaw mates like the Blue and Gold and Scarlet Macaws in the Crocoseum for the fantastic bird flight show.

Keep an eye out for this gorgeous boy, as he's definitely one of many photo moments at Australia Zoo.
