Diesel Just Keeps Going And Going!

Diesel is a Hereford cross calf and he came to the Kids Zoo when he was one week old. He is now 8 weeks old and is growing bigger and bigger by the minute. It's no wonder he is such a solid young calf, because like most growing boys, Diesel loves tucker time! He guzzles down his enormous big bottle of milk and if his pen mate Misty isn't careful he'll try and get hers too!

Not only does Diesel love sucking on his bottle, but also likes to suck and chew on anything he can get his mouth on. Whether it's your clothes or your kneecaps, he's not fussed, as long as he’s chewing on something he's happy!

Diesel thoroughly enjoys a good brush from the keepers, especially under his chin. Once you start brushing him he will stretch his neck out and becomes mesmerised. It begins to look like butter wouldn't melt in his mouth. But don't let this fool you, he can be quite mischievous at times especially when we go out walking!

Diesel absolutely loves his daily walks. He runs and jumps, kicking his heels up with excitement as we head towards his exercise area. Once out on the grass Diesel will scratch his head up and down on all of the trees he can find. He gets so excited sometimes that he even falls to his knees!
