NO! The baby goats in Kids Zoo do not get fed to the crocs!We get asked that question many times a day and the answer is NO, NO, NO! We could never do such a thing, especially to individuals we have raised up from babies.
Take a look at the photo... the crocs at Australia Zoo are on friendly terms with the baby animals – well at least B.W. Croc is. As you can see he is very kindly taking out a few goats for a leisurely stroll in the sun!
Actually, most of the Kids Zoo animals are on loan from "Noah's Farm" at Gatton. They come to us as babies and return to the farm when they're a little older and wiser. Through all the people contact they get in their experience growing up in Kids Zoo, the animals get very friendly and tame and many of them go on to become treasured pets, and that's a much better outcome for the babies!
