Aren't They Just Gorgeous

Let me introduce you these two cuties. Harvey and Ruby are our two month old baby calves. Harvey and Ruby came to us at the Zoo at only one week of age. They made us work for their affection. We bonded with them giving them their bottles also helped us alot in gaining their confidence.

Ruby is the bossy, naughty one out of the two. She is very pushy when she wants something. It took a little while longer for her to trust us but now she is great. She doesn't let Harvey get away with too much. She even tries to take his bottle sometimes - lucky we are there or he might not get any! Ruby loves her walks, most of the time all she tries to do is run everywhere jumping, bucking and kicking around. Then she finally settles down and enjoys the grass, she is so funny!

On the other hand Harvey is the smallest, innocent one. As you will see from the photo he also looks so cute, like he could never do anything naughty, - but looks can be deceiving! Sometimes he gets a bit naughty on his walks taking us and the volunteers on a walk whereever he wants. But most of the time he is good. He loves to meet all the children that come to Kids Zoo, and he likes to suck on their fingers! That is one of his bad habits. If he gets the chance he also sucks on our hands, arms, legs, clothes and especially the other calves ears. They don't quite like it as much as what he does!

These little guys are a great part of our Kids Zoo family and we love having them with us. Well from myself, Harvey and Ruby, have an exciting wee! See you next time!
