Another New Face

Hi guys, the Croc team has a new member by the name of Rhys. Rhys has been at Australia Zoo now for just over two years starting as a leafcutter cutting Koala fodder for the Zoo and Animal hospital koalas. He then moved into other keeping departments in the zoo working with various mammals and marsupials slowly finding his way into the Birds department and then onto CROCS to fulfil his dream to work with our modern day dinosaurs and to have the opportunity to work under some of the best keepers in this field.
Rhys has been on crocs for around two months now learning the ropes and getting experience to be signed competent working in certain areas such as cleaning enclosures housing large American Alligators, Fresh Water Crocodiles and Estuarine Crocodiles.
Also the handling of our juvenile alligators were Rhys can be found doing conditioning with our six year old alligators, so next time your at the zoo come down and say hello to Rhys and one of our alligators opposite the camels.
