Getting Braver!

It's been some time since we have updated everyone on what's happening in the lives of our gorgeous little European Red Foxes. We have recently done some re-decorating in the fox exhibit. We were a little unsure as to how our timid little girls Kit and Roxy would react to their new furnishings. I am pleased to be able to say that our girls approve of their new plants and logs. So much so, that the girls have made a lot of progress and are being braver than ever before!

Just recently Roxy, who is definitely the shyest of them both has started to venture down nice and close during our daily fox shows. This is a huge step to take for our shy little Roxy and she certainly seems to be getting braver by the day. Kit on the other hand, well let me tell you there is absolutely no stopping her these days! She is so happy and at home with her surroundings that she makes quite a bold appearance on our daily fox shows by jumping up onto her keepers shoulders for the entire show. She has also taken to chasing food right in front of the main viewing window for all to see. After our show she spends quite some time checking out every nook and cranny of her enclosure to make sure she hasn't missed any food.

We will be sure to keep you updated with our two foxy ladies progress.
