Holiday Time Again

Hello to all our regular readers and to our first timers as well, welcome to the latest update from Elephant dairies. Well holidays are upon us yet again with heaps of activities going on around the Zoo. Some of our regular readers may remember a story I did on the Zoo Keeper for day program for kids that we run during holidays, it's been a hit again these holidays with two groups a day and they just love meeting and feeding the Elephants. Unfortunately the colder weather has deterred the Elephants from using the pool, however we are still doing daily wash downs and foot scrubbing demonstrations as it is an important part of Elephant husbandry. We have also been playing heaps of ball games and we also created some new rope toys which the girls absolutely loved.

The Elephants are also in for a surprise as Rebel Sports has just sponsored us with just over 100 new balls. They are giving us a huge variety, ranging from Basket balls, soccer balls, footballs and even large exercise balls. Different varieties are important because Elephants can become bored when using the same toys all the time, so it's great that we will be able to mix it up. So I'd just like to say THANKS HEAPS REBEL SPORTS YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST.
