Koala Cleaning

Footprints on the ground, leaves strewn around the enclosure, broken branches and not to forget the huge number of koala poo pellets in every conceivable location. What an effort it is to get it looking presentable every morning!
Our job as koala keepers is to make the enclosures perfect before the zoo opens. This involves a lot of sweeping, raking, hosing, scrubbing, some more hosing and then some more raking! So next time you visit the Zoo we hope you too notice how much work and effort goes into keeping our enclosures immaculate for your appreciation and also for the wellbeing of our gorgeous koalas.
