It's been a typically warm summer here on the Sunshine Coast, in south east Queensland, and what better way to cool off when the mercury is soaring than to go for a nice cool swim followed by an ice cream? At Australia Zoo this is exactly how our adorable twin tiger cubs, Hunter and Clarence, cope with the heat in the large pool at our Tiger Temple (watch the video below to see them in action with their keepers)!
Our glass-fronted tiger exhibit has underwater viewing at the front of the display where guests can watch our tigers swimming above and below the water!
Don't forget to check out the Tiger Temple on your next visit to Australia Zoo.
For those of you who've been watching our cubs since their birth you'll notice how much they've grown! During a routine check-up last week, they both weighed in at around the 24kg mark, and at 19 weeks old, our troublesome twosome are well and truly packing on the weight as they head towards their full adult weight in the first year. Crikey!
