Crikey! What a Day!

No school! Cheetah rule!

Crikey! The July school holiday’s at Australia Zoo went off with a bang this year, with the launch of Cheetah Week and more activities than you could poke a stick at including face painting, kids rides and crafts activities.

Over the two weeks we raised much needed funds for Cheetah conservation, auctioning off a framed photo of the Irwin’s signed by Terri and Bindi with some cheeky Cheetah pug prints as well as the opportunity to go for a walk around Australia Zoo with one of our gorgeous Cheetah!

Sandwizard, who brought sand art to Australia Zoo and provided awesome fun for kids of all ages, raised a whopping $925 for Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors.

Tracey French, owner and operator of Sandwizard is pictured with Australia Zoo's Amanda French and the money they raised for Cheetah conservation.

This amount of money does so much for our beautiful Cheetah. With the funds Sandwizard raised, this could provide veterinary costs for 13 injured Cheetah in South Africa! This is an awesome effort, thanks Sandwizard!
