Proteas pass wildlife test
18 November 2012
Sunshine Coast Sunday
AFTER tussling with the Australian side at the Gabba in Brisbane last week, members of the South African cricket team headed for Australia Zoo to take on some wildlife on Friday.
One of the zoo's resident koalas held little fear for team captain Graeme Smith, but fast bowler Morne Morkel had his hands full when he had a Burmese python draped over his shoulders.
Six members of the team, including Jean-Paul Duminy, Francois du Plessis, Dean Elgar and Dale Steyn, spent several hours at the zoo as part of their days off between Tests.
They are on their way to Adelaide to prepare for the second test, which begins this week.
