After volunteering for seven months with Willdlife Warriors, Jaigar became a fulltime member of the team in March 2016. Jaigar graduated from the University of Queensland with a dual degree in journalism and business managment, majoring in marketing.
Throughout her study, Jaigar jumped at every opportunity to learn, and experience the world. Jaigar worked as a camp counsellor for a summer camp in the United States, she completed a semester abroad in Dublin, Ireland and worked a ski season in Whistler, Canada. She has taken part in a "business in India" summer program, interned for a baked goods company in Atlanta, Georgia and has spent time volunteering at an Orangutan rehabilitation centre in Malaysia.
Jaigar is very excited to make a difference in conserving the planets wildlife and habitats, through Wildlife Warriors.
Donor Relations Officer
Catie has been a part of the Zoo Crew since Dec 2015, originally part of the Food & Beverage team, but has now made her way into the Wildlife Warriors team! She loves being a part of the bigger picture and working towards making the world a better place. Catie doesn't have a favourite animal in particular as she believes they are all unique in their own way. Outside of work, she enjoys travelling, attending music events and spending time with friends and family.
With thousands of visitors from all over the world passing through the gates daily, all team members understand the importance of making a lasting impression to our patrons. A job at Australia Zoo is more than a vocation, it's a lifestyle - just ask any of our team members. Australia Zoo employees love animals and conservation, have an exceptional self-drive attitude towards work and of course, wear the world famous khaki uniforms with pride! You just have to walk around the Zoo to feel the electricity in the air. The atmosphere creates an exciting experience for all visitors and a dream workplace environment for all employees.
