Steve Irwin Day went off like a frog in a sock, as usual, with a raft of entertainment and entertainers as we streamed the Crocoseum action live to Youtube allowing thousands of Steve's fans from all four corners of the globe to get involved. Khaki clad visitors enjoyed a sausage sizzle, trampolines, slides, workshops, traditional indigenous dancing, pony rides, The Blenders, lorikeet racing and STACKS more throughout the course of the day!
Xavier Rudd gave us an inspiring mixture of reggae, funk, blues, folk, and roots music. His love of nature, indigenous culture and the diversity and beauty of these great regions of Australia make his Australian shows an absolute treat for the global troubadour and a natural fit on such an auspicious occaision.
Rove McManus, Australian actress Tasma Walton joined William Zillman and Ashley Harrison from the Gold Coast Titans in the Crocoseum before Terri, Bindi, Robert and Wes put on a classic Wildlife Warriors croc show and the Veronica's left their handprints in our growing Walk of Fame.
Steve Irwin Day was also an appropriate time to announce the new names of our gorgeous two new Sumatran tiger cubs - welcome to Clarence and Hunter! Clarence picked his own name out of all the suggestions in the Wotif.com naming competition (keep an eye on our social media next week for photos of how we narrowed it down) and Terri, Bindi and Robert chose Hunter from our Australia Zoo Facebook competition.
Lucky visitors to Australia Zoo can get up close and personal with our twin boy while they're still this fun size, but they won't stay that way for long!

Now that they have names, we're delighted to announce that Clarence and Hunter are available in our Adopt An Animal program!
