This amazing male measured in at just 13′ 1″ and had a substantial part of his tail missing. The 2019 Croc Trip team believed if his tail was still intact, he could have been over 14′ 7″ in length. Crikey! This guy was named by Damian and Nicole Gill, who experienced the 2019 crocodile research trip after bidding on this opportunity at the 2018 Steve Irwin Gala Dinner.
This research is made possible each year with the help of Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors, The University of Queensland and our generous sponsors. This vital program is the longest continuous study of crocodiles in the world and helps us to live alongside them and help them, as a vulnerable Australian species.
